My Pick of the Litter Is...

You’re not the only ones who’ve been sitting on pins and needles! Thanks to the Web Gods (or Goddesses) I was denied access! But Fate smiled on me and granted me a viable Ether link. Yeah, you don’t have to wait anymore to find out who I chose for Ms. Green!

I poured over a bevy of entries (though the bags aren’t included in the snapshot above). The sap flew (some over my head with those purple prose) and a couple tears trickled down my cheek. You guys are the sweetest…well except for those mini Ms. Green’s I delved into. Yum!

Without further ado I would like to lift up a poem that made my antenna zing.

My sweet lady coated in green,
Most delectable beauty I’ve ever seen.
The simple tip inside your catty chat,
Set my fingers aquiver where I sat.
Pen to paper, tongue to lip,
I couldn’t resist penning a true-hearted quip.
For your inner loveliness, so divine,
Struck me when you let your heart shine!
A kiss would be too much to ask.
But in your brilliance I’d gladly bask.
Vividly bright, connoisseur of foresight,
Let me be your guide under love’s light.
Does M mark the spot over your heart?
That’s the place where my wooing would start.
If you’ll give me the honor of being mine,
My lovely, cocoa-shelled Valentine.

M. Dark Chocolat, bravo! This superbly worded glimpse into your inner heart of hearts was a joy to read. (Dare I mention I’m tearing up again even now?) You sir, are a gent among men. You have my vote and I shall pass on this treasure to the “sweet lady coated in green”.
